Trip Dates: 5 to 7 Sep 2025

A chance to show-off your camper or vehicles and unload any unrequired camping gear. It will also be a great opportunity to share a sausage sizzle and stories with friends and other members. Think about inviting past members who may like to catch up.

Bring your comfy camper and stay overnight at Long Flat at Majors Creek (Peter Mercer’s property).

Amenities include:

• 2 flush loos
• 2 showers (1 inside)
• Camp kitchen
• Undercover meals area
• Campfire

There is no power available, so you need to be self-sufficient.

Friday: Arrive and setup about 6:00 pm. Dinner at the Majors Creek Pub from 6:00 pm and then a campfire at Peter’s.

Saturday, 10:30 am: Starting at in Braidwood, there will be a Driver Ed trip with Tote on the Clyde (10 vehicles). Please RSVP to this Driver Ed trip separately, so that we know the names and numbers.

Saturday evening: Try your hand at cooking a meal in a camp-oven on the campfire or share a meal with a friend.

Sunday, 10:30 to 2:30: LRC Show & Tell at Majors Creek (Peter’s property) and a BBQ lunch. Show-off your vehicles, campers and gadgets, tell a few stories, and pass on any unwanted camping gear or gadgets. Please RSVP to this LRC Show & Tell trip separately if this is all you want to attend.

Prefer No Dogs, due to the number of folk attending.

Ian Toten is holding a Driver Education day on the Clyde Mountain for those looking to enhance their field skills going forward. These are a great day to take your skills to the next level. Ian Tote runs a very productive day.

This trip is being run in conjuntion with the separate Show & Tell trip, being held on 7 to 9 Sep. Please RSVP to each trip separately, as may be required.

Saturday, 10.30 am: Departure in Braidwood, opposite the Shell Servo.

Saturday, 4.00 pm: Return to Braidwood.

Please bring:

• Full tank of Fuel
• Recovery Kit – minimum snatch strap and 2 x D Shackles (that fit your recovery points)
• Vehicle mounted Recovery Points a MUST – these must be rated recovery points
• Your own lunch
